The center was originally conceived by a group of artists, performers, musicians, concert promoters, and talent managers. These entertainment industry professionals are also educators who share a common goal of developing career related arts programs and community entertainment for high school students and the families of Morgan Hill, California.

The Center consists of three venues, and a new venue in development, that host performances featuring dance, theatre, music, visual arts, media and film.

The Center is home base of the ARTTEC Academy, the rigorous educational program that connects high school students with art related careers. The annual ARTTEC Festival of the Arts is a week long event that showcases student managed productions and raises funds that allow the Academy to operate. High profile entrertainment industry professionals graciously participate in Festival of the Arts in support of arts related career education.
